validity
NASM CPT certification is valid for two years. During these two years , you need to take about 20 credit hours for recertification future.
CEC
NASM offers a ton of CCA for you to take to get their 20 hours of CEC completed.
Unfortunately, it seems that you really need to take their course NASM CEC , as it seems to provide a list of "other" approved courses. Many organizations provide certification classes at universities or other institutions, but I can not find any evidence that is available from NASM .
The list of classes CCA is quite extensive ,nasm certification and although I can not find a way to replace the other classes , they must continue to learn for a long time!
renewal
Renewal is every two years , 20 hours of the CCA , and costs $ 99 with a $ 30 charge if you (or your complete CEC ) later.

As you can see, a lot of NASM certification procedures very differently to other organizations . The cost of the examination , as it is integrated into the course material is much higher than other tests.
